Full Name

Address

Contact details – phone number (home, work, mobile) and e-mail address

Your career profile

  1. In one paragraph explain your key strengths or indicate them in point forms
  2. Provide a career profile or overview and what you can do for the organisation. If you are a fresh graduate, provide your career objective.

Professional History

Professional history must be outlined in reverse chronological order, from the most recent employment to the earliest and must be structured as follows:

Job title, employer’s details, period of employment, your role and reporting details.

A brief Job description

Achievements

Achievements – your achievement in the last 3 jobs or last 3 years that were above and beyond your KPIs.

Education and Training

Start with your highest qualification first. Unless you are fresh out of school, leave out your secondary school history.

Education and Training section can cover university, TAFE training, industry courses, in-house courses, and any other professional training.

Professional Memberships

It’s essential to include any membership that’s relevant to your career and indicate your involvement in that organisation.

Referees

References/Referees are listed at the end. It’s recommended to include your current and previous employers by proving their Names and phone numbers.

You can always make it available to your interviewer upon request provided you have clearly stated on your resume.

Hobbies and interests

This is optional, you can include this section provided it carries weight to career. Include this section before Referees.
